When I was younger, in high school and college, I struggled with the typical annoying embarrassing breakouts. In fact, my first year of college, I even cut bangs to try to hide the acne on my forehead. Which didn’t help, I’m sure (hand over face). But luckily, I grew out of it and I’m happy to report that I rarely get zits that really truly hate me!

MASK
Moving on, I love a good Mask. If you follow me on instagram, you know this! This mask from Ole Henriksen is my favorite for oily acne-prone skin. This stuff ROCKS! I reach for this every time I’m feeling a bit shiny or when I’m feeling a zit coming on. It cleans, exfoliates, its soothing, it regulates oil production and drawing out excess sebum. It’s got bentonite and kaolin clays which are amazing at sucking out impurities and purifying the skin and increasing circulation for faster healing and less scaring. Lactic acid and salicylic acid for cleaning out the pores and sluffing away dead skin. I use it 1-2 times a week while my skin is struggling. Refreshing vibrant teal color and peppermint smell.

A FEW MORE TIPS:
- Don’t touch your face! It’s hard but just trust!
- Wash your sheets/pillow cases weekly, if not more!
- Wipe your phone down with an alcohol wipe!
These things seem like no- brainers but if you aren’t doing them regularly already, they will make a huge difference!
So there ya have it, my skin care essentials for dealing with breakouts! Besides my own, I’ve heard lots of positive reviews for each of these products and feel confident sharing them with you. Tell me your experiences with these products in the comments!
